Welcome

Hello, this blog will be dedicated to the process of a new manga currently being developed called "Vigilia Caelestis", based on the RPG created by Noah. It's a scifi/fantasy story about the complex political relationships between the five nations: Arüs, Tenir, Saéricia, Ishala and Eiraba. Oh, and there's mechs too - some with chainsaw swords, and others just plain badass.

It's a story that was created 2007. As time went on, we kept adding more and more, until it became a very rich and vivid story, with characters and places that were so detailed, it's like these places actually exist. Not too long ago, I proposed the idea to adapt the story into a manga. Members of our group were thrilled at the idea, and wanted this to happen. So, here we are today working to make this manga possible. But it's not going to be an easy thing - oh, no...As the artist of this comic, it's going to be the largest project I've ever taken on. I will be designing the characters, places, and the comic art itself. The story was written by all of us who contributed with our own characters.

So here, I'll be posting a lot of the concept artwork with detailed explanations of the image, its inspirations, the reasons why I envisioned it. This is where you will be able to see the process of that design work, and turn the descriptions written by us into the images you will see on pages. The manga will be in color, so I have plenty of work ahead of me. This story cannot be told in the traditional grayscale of manga, the locations in the world of Vigilia Caelestis are so alive with their palettes, they're almost characters themselves.
